Daily Dialogue — April 7, 2017

Mr. Smiley's Manager: I don't think you'd fit in here.
Lester Burnham: I have fast food experience.
Mr. Smiley's Manager: Yeah, like twenty years ago!
Lester Burnham: Well, I'm sure there have been amazing technological advances in the industry, but surely you must have some sort of training program. It seems unfair to presume I won't be able to learn.

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Job Interview.

Trivia: The scene where Lester is putting in an application for the counter job at Smiley Burger was actually shot at night, but it was later fixed to look like the daytime. Notice that neither Lester nor the burger kid have shadows on their faces from the sun.

Dialogue On Dialogue: A nice turn of the tables in which the applicant is way overqualified for the job. Recalls the job interview scene from Kramer vs. Kramer.
